Meet Michael Hawkins, Braswell Family Farms’ shop supervisor. Michael started his role at Braswell 13 years ago as a mechanic before being promoted to lead technician and eventually, supervisor.

A typical day for Michael starts at 6 am. He begins by checking emails and reading forms from truck drivers. He ensures that each driver has what they need to be successful in their job of delivering feed to our hens. Once that is complete, he makes a to-do list for the day. Each day is different and depends on the needs of the farm equipment.

When asked what he likes most about working at Braswell Family Farms, Michael replied that he appreciates the laid-back and family culture and the trust that the company puts in him to do the right thing.

In his free time, you can find Michael fishing or being on or around some body of water.

As for his Braswell Family Farms eggs, Michael likes them scrambled with hoop cheese or baked in Stephen’s pound cake.
