A family farm built to honor God, generation by generation.
OUR HISTORY
Four generations of Braswells have been blessed to lead our family business. By God’s grace and with our family of dedicated employees and growers, we have been able to serve our customers and each other for more than 80 years.

OUR Family
Our family isn’t complete without our experienced, hard-working, and wonderful employees, vendors, suppliers, customers, and contract growers. Whether they have been with us for a few months or 20+ years, we are grateful for their dedication and committed to promoting their well-being.
In 1943, brothers E.G. and J.M. Braswell set in motion the Braswell Family Farms story when they purchased the humble 19th century Boddie Mill. The industrious pair ground corn meal for local farmers and neighbors, but always closed on Sundays. E.G.’s sons, Ronald and Gene, joined the business, which was now milling feed, in 1956, and they soon began selling pullets (young hens) to egg producers and contracting with local farmers to keep hens. Eggs from the Braswells’ own flocks and from their grower partners were sold to families, markets, and restaurants in the area. In 1969, the company built a state-of-the-art feed mill that is still in use today, having been upgraded to meet our exacting standards for quality feed.
